科技英语中wh-words的分析

【摘要】： 科技英语作为一个语域有其独特的语言特点，比如，在语法，词汇等方面有别于其它语体。这篇论文研究wh-words在科技英语中的沿意，句法功能特点。通过运行Foxpro程序得到wh-words在科技英语数据库中及其它数据库的分布频率。然后再按句子类型分别逐个归类得出wh-words在不同上文中出现的频率。利用统计软件SPSS对这些数据进行卡方测试，重点讨论wh-words在名词性从句中的分布情况。通过对数据和测试结果进行分析和比较，最后得出结论：wh-words在科技英语中的语意和句法功能方面同普通英语有许多共同之处；在不同的数据库中，wh-words出现在名词性从句中的频率有些存在显著差别，有些分布相似。
