将资料夹融入以培养大学生自主学习能力为基础的英语教学中
【摘要】：鉴于某些特殊背景原因(例如,近几年来的学生人数的增加和班级规模的扩大),在中国,人们越来越关注自主学习这一概念。在高等教育领域内,如何提高学习者的自主能力已经成为课程设计人员和教师们所关注的焦点。在外语教学中,教师如何促进学生的学习和如何提高他们的自主能力,很早以来就引起广泛而热烈的讨论。
本论文探讨了如何将资料夹作为一种工具来促进学生的学习和提高他们的自主能力。正如艺术家以文件夹的形式将作品选集呈现给人们以展示自己的成就一样,在二语习得过程中,学习者们也可以选出自己较满意的学习成果放入资料夹以记录他们的学习过程与进展。对此,作者在2003年进行了一次实证研究,研究对象是112名大学本科生(一个大班),选用另外一个由113名学生组成的大班作为对照组。在英语课程进行中,作者将制定和编辑资料夹融入了教学过程当中,以此来训练学生自主学习的能力。本文利用问卷调查的方式收集到了学生对于自主学习和使用资料夹的观点和看法。在研究后期,运用期末考试来测试了两组学生的英语学习水平。另外,还利用采访面谈的方式了解到了学生对自主学习和编辑英语资料夹的看法。
研究结果表明,使用资料夹确实增强了学生运用学习策略的意识,促进了他们的学习过程,提高了他们的成绩,更关键的是大大促进了学生自主学习的能力。
